Malina, I got the scroll code done-ish for you. As it sits right now you use arrows to scroll the text. I'm no good with the maths and moving a movieclip up or down in a percentile relationship to the size of the movie clip itself and position of a scroll tab on a scroll bar makes my brain rebel against my skull.
All you have to do is replace the text in the "text" movieclip with the text you want in it. The black square is a mask that hides any text that is above or below it. The text will scroll up until the bottom of the text movieclip lines up with the scroll down button. And likewise the text will scroll down until the top of the text movieclip lines up with the scroll up button.
Let me know if anything is unclear. I tried to make everything as simple as possible so that you need only to put the movieclip into your interface to impliment it.
The fla is in my folder on box.net.

Thank you I tried to use the scroll thing but I think the rollover worked better for us? I just posted some files and dropped some into the box.net folder.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for getting that done so fast it really helped to see what would work best.
