Tom
I dropped the games interface in Milestone 5 Folder - Interface Folder. We are leaving it up to you on if you want to use Adrianna's or my file. There are images below of both interfaces. The file is called Screen_Interface.

Malina the team has to vote and we will have to do iterations on them before they are ready to be dropped into the game.
ReplyDeleteIt's not really my call on what interface we should use. You two need to decide on a final one.
ReplyDeleteQuote from post 1:
ReplyDelete"5. If you are creating an animation or poster or whatever it is ultimately up to you do decide if it is final or not."
Why is everyone so quick to jump the gun and skip steps?
ReplyDeleteFor every other Interface the steps we took have been as follows:
1. Pre-Production (thumbnails, sketches, etc...)
2. Digital Comps (Usually Multiples)
3. Feedback on Comps (From the TEAM)
4. Iteration based off feedback
5. Selection of Final Interface
This is what we have been doing for every single Interface in the game save for the first one from the first term. What is so difficult about that?
Malina: The Team needs to give Feedback and then we iterate and then we choose. More importantly, I do not ever recall saying or agreeing that this is what "We decided...". I had no idea you were going to post this and wish that you would have come to me first. You also never gave me any clue that this interface would somehow be treated differently than the others in terms of it's process.
Tom: You are half right, we still need feedback on them when you have a chance however.
Justin: We decide only after the team gets a look at them and we iterate based off the teams feedback. There are steps to be taken before one is chosen, we cannot arbitrarily decide on one design. Also, this process allow us to obtain your feedback and approval or disapproval. This is part something that we must get from our Team Lead, you.
Justin you also forgot the second part of
ReplyDelete"5. If you are creating an animation or poster or whatever it is ultimately up to you do decide if it is final or not."
and that is:
"If no one "votes" on your work this does not mean it's OK to turn in unfinished work."
We can't decide on anything without feedback.
Since we pushed the deadline to Thursday and need something to show on Thursday I fingured we would place one of the designs in and go from there. I had no intention of skipping steps. I am sorry if it came off that way. At this point I am sick of argueing and just want the work to get done right.
ReplyDeleteAdrianna, I guess what I was getting at is that you two should really be the final in what's going into the game Interface wise. Well, you two and Kim I guess.
ReplyDeleteBut I didn't know that this was the first version of the interface. I think both have their merrits but with some more work I'm sure you two can create something that you know for certain is Time Blunders material.
It's all good ladies and Gents, we will not be able to meet the deadline though since we never got the votes to iterate on time.
ReplyDeleteI really like Malina's version I was just wondering is there some way we can combine the two? Words aren't a great thing to have on an interface, one of the x's is larger than the other, and the gray color I think may be a bad color to use against the ground but other than that I have no complaints about it. The gray color may work out but I'd have to see it in game first.
