Some concept stuff for the Pterodactyl's food, probably going with either a bird or the little flying dinosaur. Obviously unless you guys have any issues with them. But these are just the concepts! If you have crits, give them now so I can improve for the finals. (flash files are up on the blog, here's one static image though.)
While I think the bird looks more like food than the small dino I don't think there were birds that were that birdlike around the time frame we are going for.
ReplyDeleteI do like them but the small dino's color is too similar to the Pterodactyl.
Just a quick google search of "Cretaceous Birds" yeilds lots of examples of birds that existed 65 million years ago.

use the bird just make it a grey and yellow or green and orange like this type of ancient bird.

Actually there is a few bird like dinosaurs. Here is one I found that may help out.

I dont know if the bright blue is going to go well with the colors we have now.
Many of the prehistoric "birds" that were around though didn't necessarily have just plain beaks some had strange protrusions to go with the beaks and teeth and scales on the face. I just think that the blue bird looks a little too modern and bright. Though the brightness isn't a bad thing as the player needs to be able to see it.
