More caves
Here is the cave theme as is. Still doing more painting to make the others match but I made the ground minimal and when I see the final ground ill make it match up. The color scheme was made more to match and I think the front salagmites match slightly with the color of the platforms and then mute to more of a greenish because I still want this to feel like a dank cave.

ReplyDeleteYeah bro I couldnt say it better myself. All the colors work we did a good job. now I am just finishing the vines so we can get this party rolling.
ReplyDeleteI really think that this came together really well. The colors blend well and contribute to the overall look of the level. Its well defined with where the players platforms are and what is the background. Good job Todd!
ReplyDeleteOver all I like it but here are some things I notice.
ReplyDeleteWhile it's not immediately noticeable some of the line work is inconsistant in certain areas. For example there are some areas on the Stalagmites and Stalactites where the outline is really thick then gets smaller. Some of the lines are also too thick when compared to the background rock columns.
While the green does work in a strange way the columns in the background are about the same "brightness" as the platforms the player is supposed to jump on. It may give the player the impression that they can hit them. Fdding the color on them may work, put them more in the Mid-ground?
I do like it overall.
I would suggest some more of the light brown in the bottom of the cave (to match the platforms better). Also the your crystals and Krissy's crystals don't match. She uses a darker tone for them and you use very bright colors.
