I know you were asking Krissy Todd but I wanted to answer your question and point something out that bothers me.
The red/bron dirt looks about right but the yeallow/brown background inside the cave is bothering me alot.
The random looking lines don't reach all the way to the end, the fact they are all the same size really bothers me especially because the ones that are there are so thick.
What about making lines through the dirt like bug tunnels? That way they are not so sparatic and would add to the fact that there are bugs. Look up some ant farm images. Heres one I found. Hope this helps some. http://kidsscienceclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/vintage-ant-farm.gif
ug sleept past my alarm again this morning, I hate waking up past noon. The background is aplace holder right now so it will look nothing like this this image bwas just for showing the new depth and asking if the black outline in the dirt looks. I like the bug tunnels idea and ill draw some to see if it fits.
The tunnel is looking better. I agree with the three comments above.. add some more lines and different sizes. Maybe try adding some different shade of that brown? I would just play with the idea of having some different brown color, cause it might add some depth.
I am also having a hard time remembering what Kim said as well but... this is my idea for it.. Maybe for the cave light source (I would just play around with the idea if you had time)... Have the back of the cave darker and progressing lighter to the front of the cave?

I do agree that the lines should go all the way to the end. And that the thickness should be different.
ReplyDeleteIt is coming together though. It does look like it's not as deep as the last tunnel.
The only thing I can think of (but I'm having a hard time remembering), what did Kim say about a light source?

If you do take Krissy's advice on dark to light just remember not to change the opacity!!
ReplyDeleteOur game hates that. :(
The background will be darker progresivly as you get farther from the entarnces
ReplyDeleteIt needs lines in the outside not the inside. It looks funny. that is how I do everything and it should follow.
