This version is not the size or arrangement of the crystals but it shows that they would be oriented in a sphere pattern in the geode.

This version would have a more rocky appearance to the geode and have crystals in a random pattern inside the geode which has a marble like wall(such as the reference photo below the sketch), the final would have them more densely populated.


Which one would be better because the first one reminds me of a giant worm or creature like if i look at it long enough I lose the image of being in a giant rock?
I would go with the second one. The first one is just way too busy and it loses the whole crystal cave theme.

I say the second one is best. We don't want it too densely populated however, seeing as there may be things inside the geode that we don't want the player to be distracted away from.
I have to agree the second one still gives us the impression of the crystals without over doing it. Plus it will not distract the player from gameplay.
