Hey Tom Why cant I just export my level out as a image.
So hey I was thinking, and I got some advice from Naram why cant I just export my level out as a image. All you would have to do is drag and drop to match up with the collision boxes. I am still working on the level and getting everything exported to another movie clip so you can have that also. But I am having a problem with one movie clip and I dont think it would be a problem if you just let me do it, and you will have the level. And to be to be honest this crap is really time consuming just let me give it a shot and we can see what happens I am out of ideas. And I dont want to keep getting chewed out by Kim so I am going to try and see you in a second.

If you're talking about making it a jpeg or something that will not work. It must be a vector image. The reason for this is that our game scale changes throughout the game. If we use a jpeg and zoom in on it the image will be pixelated.
ReplyDeleteWe can try if you want but chances are it will look bad.
Well look I need some help. And I dont want to fail, and I am not going too. So we need to meet up or something cause I need your guys help. Like I really do. This shit is a pain in all of our sides and I really want to be done with this. I could send it out as a png and also set it to 300 dpi so that it wont be pixelated at all and then Todd can bring in his caves for the game also. I would be lossless and we wont have to worry about losing anything. The file might be a little bit lager but other than that what doesn't make our game large.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with that is the large file size. It seems like this solution will lag our game immensely.
ReplyDeleteI will also have to break up this png into at least 10 pieces, which isn't the problem, the problem is that I don't know how flash will handle 10 pieces of broken up, 300 dpi, pngs.
Yeah you are right. And you don't even have to worry about it. I cant make it. The level is to freaking big lol so yeah. I need some help like now this is on my mine like crazy. And this is going to kill me. If one of you guys can come up I will be their at the school in the morning. Oh I have a question can I take all the layers and put them in the older version of the of the game. That would save me like a million minutes of time.
ReplyDeleteFun Fact: One million minutes of time is 1.9 years. Now you know!
ReplyDeleteIf you click on the frame on the timeline that has all the ground movieclips in it then all the movieclips on that frame will be highligted.
Then right click that frame on the timeline and press copy frame.
Then create a new empty movieclip and paste that frame into it.
...
Profit
justin all of my movie clips are on separate layers. So you just want me to copy all my layers and then paste them into one movie clip. is that what are you saying cause I can do that. So that you know since they are all on seprate layers just copy them all at once and then paste into one movie clip ok ok. If this doesnt work can I meet up with you at the school or something. That would really help.
ReplyDeleteYou can select multiple frames at one time. Hold down control and click on all the different frames on each layer. Then just copy and paste them onto the frame of an empty movieclip. Works like magic.
ReplyDeleteOk this is how I did it and I hope this what you are talking about. This is inside the movie clip called the big stuff. I hope that is it.
ReplyDeleteDid I do it right I really hope I did.
ReplyDeleteYeah I think I did fix it.
