I almost forgot.....

To post!

So I turned in the testing material and updated the banners.

The testing material and results are all in an Excel file in a folder labeled Testing. I'll upload the Microsoft Word version of the Test later on when I have access to it.

  2. Why did the horizontal banner lose animations? It looks very dull now. I'm also confused at the specs you are using for these banners. I need the references you guys are using to understand this as soon as possible!!

  3. I also mentioned this to Joe, but you should write down a paragraph or two talking as the interface designer. Explain what you took out of the testing and what you changed based on the feedback you got.

Sure this will be shown in the stages of the interface, but it would be better to have words to correspond with the pictures.

  4. Tom the specs are from Banner Creator, some of which are used on IGN.

I was under the impression that the captions under the images were the explanation in the documentation? If more description is needed in the captions or we need a paragraph or two sure I will do it but the interface hasn't changed much yet due to testing, at least not enough that a few captions won't cover.

After this last batch of tests however they may change a bit. XD There are comments that I haven't typed out yet. I wanted to ask Justin about it since they seemed out of place in an excel file.

I think we may need to put a separate page for them in the documentation but I also wonder if there will be a disconnect if the person just reads from a list of them.

    Example:

Person reads "This interface is awesome" and "This interface is poop" from a list.

How will they know which version of the interface in the documentation is being mentioned in the comments?

We may need to implement a labeling system.

  5. The captions are different from the paragraph I want. I want an explanation of the thought process that went on throughout the testing. Testing can also cover the critiques from the team and Kim. The interface has changed a lot throughout the semester and a nice paragraph would fit in well with all the pictures.

As for the list of comments, just make sure you put what interface version they go with. I'll find a way to make it fit with the document.

Oh also, what's Banner Creator? Website? Program?

  6. Banner Creator is the website that lists web banner sizes that Justin recommended. IGN also uses those sizes for their banners. After the size mixup fiasco I looked it up and Justin posted a link to both that and Banner Creator on the blog in comments.
