Ok Ground version 2 is up on box.net
Yeah guys the ground is up and I am just finishing the the vines just have to color them. I found out what was wrong with the ground when i kept looking at it, it was the just some things missing and also to many dots. So I got rid of some of them and then added the bushes and also the rolling ground. It took me a while but I did it. Now I am just fixing the vine, tom you will have that along with the documentation of both the ground and the vine. Okay guys back to work for me see you guys in a hour or hopefully less. hahahahah.

ReplyDeleteDan I'm sorry but this ground is completely unusable. It needs to be like the ground you made for the tutorial level. Everything should be one movieClip. There are literally hundreds of them in yours. In order to make the game run smooth I need to click the "cache as bitmap" button in the properties. This means I would need to do this for every single movieClip you have.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem like any of the comments from the last version were taken into consideration.
"Yeah and you are right. But i was thinking since the level is larger it would have more dots in there. Yeah i will fix it ok sorry guys."
ReplyDeleteDid you add even more dot's?
"And justin i am sorry for doing everything in little movie clips. I really am sorry. I will fix it. or at least try."
There is a LOT of little movie clips in the latest version of the ground.
Wow...the ground is insane! I had no idea that Flash could handle that many movie clips.
ReplyDeleteAlright guys i am going to need some help on this one. I took some of the dots out and then I just added the the rolling ground and also mad the shrubs also. I think i am going to need some help I dont know what I am doing wrong. And I did take into consideration what you guys said now the ground is not usable at all.
