I don't recall having talking/agreeing about having flames with the smoke. As for looking at broken electrical wires for references... that did not work. I have been using sparklers as a references to the sparks. Since it is coming close to July 4, fireworks and sparklers as the best bet for our sparks. Back to the smoke...... I have been working on a final design for the smoke and I am still trying to smooth it out.
Updated the smoke so check it out.

Who wanted flames? We never talked about flames. As for the smoke you updated there is a big blue streak over the swf. The smoke starts out small then grows, which is cool except that it disappears after it gets too big, it shouldn't disappear if the player decides to sit and stare at it for whatever reason.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the smoke shouldn't disappear. It should be a seamless animation. Take a look at this picture:

This may be an extreme scenario, but that smoke is not going to disappear and grow again. We need to keep that in mind.
Oh! Krissy when we said different colors we didn't mean fire. You know how sparklers spout different colors? Kinda like that. So you could try to draw the little spark stars two or three times in different colors layered over each other.
