Here is what it dew:
The system I came up with seems to be very simple yet it does exactly what we need it to do now. I think.... Anyway the animation states all work how they used to only now when the player shoots it swaps a mask object out for a different one that effectively changes out the normal animation for the shoot animation at exactly the corrisponding frame so that the change is seamless.
This may or may not make sense, since I'm not sure if I follow what I just wrote. I'm tired and my brain hurts. I need some excedrin. Off to the hall closet for some pills!
