"Week 3 - post 2"
We do suck. We've been at this school for almost three years now; look at us. We are in week five and we don't even have a target market (plus a pile of other crap). There needs to be a change...now. I don't think our suck has anything to do with creating a new sprint, or for that matter, any of the sprints. Our team dynamics are shit. Based on our last meeting with Kim, we have two people on one side, two people on the other, and one in the middle. The one in the middle will now take over the lead responsibilities. That's me. I'm creating a project plan that I formulated with Doc B. I will present it to the group on Thursday. This plan will lay out everything that needs to be done for the rest of this term, plus all the milestones that we need to hit in order to succeed. We will have weekly reports that will be filled out by the individual team members, and in turn, we will run as a well oiled machine. Positive. Productive. Punctual. We don't have the time to screw around anymore. Thank you. I will be expecting comments.

This man speaks the truth. Perhaps we do need someone to be the "Boss" someone to dole out deadlines and punishments for not making them. I don't know how the other team is doing but we damn sure can't get a set of sprints we can follow going. So someone saying: "This" has to be done by such and such a date. is what this group needs.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to this, a lot. Really I am! Having someone to tell us exactly what needs to be done, and when is really what we need I think. Working off of a schedule is way easier than working whenever we see fit. Can't wait to see what you've got!

ReplyDeleteOur issues weren't screwing around so much as working as a team. The majority of us reached all our goals for the week and put in the work, we have material, we have to back track because we didn't put in enough practical groundwork to base our game on. Our teamwork is what sucks and maybe we need to consider meeting more outside of class.
