Should the player be able to jump through the bottome of certain floors or floating platforms? You could jump through certain things in mario (clouds, elevators, etc) but not bricks and floating metal boxes.
For now I think for simplicities sake I'll make it so you can not.

I think we should. I already have a few in some level sketches that I'm going to post in a few. If "we" decide that jumpthru blocks are not needed....eh, we'll add them next term for a cave level or something. 2 cents.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to post some sketches. I will rework them. Some jumpthru's will be in there, (as stated above) and will be removed. I'm just lettin' ya know. I didn't want any one to ...fLiP OUt mAN! <- from "Half Baked"
ReplyDeleteOne time I hired a monkey to take notes for me in class. I just sat there with my mind a complete blank while the monkey scribbled on little pieces of paper. At the end of the week, the teacher said, 'Class, I want you to write a paper using your notes.' So I wrote a paper that said, 'Hello, my name is Bingo, I like to climb on things. Can I have a banana?' I got an F. When I told my mom about it, she said, 'I told you, never trust a monkey!' I'll put jump throughs in the game. The End.
ReplyDeleteawesome!
ReplyDeleteIf you can jump through things I think it should only be things that would make sense. Like the cloud example. Otherwise the player may get confused if they can't jump through everything.
